about
Parcels Bash originated during a jam session on a hot summer night in our rehearsal space. It was already getting really late that night and we decided to have one final jam session before leaving. Our good friend Raffi and his old Roland Synth were impressing us massively at the time, which inspired us to take an old unfinished idea of ours and give it a new, Raffi and New Wave-inspired twist. This idea turned out so well that the finished song is pretty much an exact (albeit slightly shortened) replica of the jam session we had back then.
Parcels Bash really marks the point in time when we finally found our own sound as a quartet (as opposed to as a quintet, which we still had been only a year prior) and the song's lyrics can be interpreted as a nod to our process of getting there, which might have been long-winded but so worth it at the same time.
